Job summary

Pacific Steel Group seeks a Melt Shop Process Engineer to lead the design, construction and commissioning of a modern steel micro-mill. You will define scrap mix, alloys, fluxes and refractories, collaborate with OEMs on process design and study sustainability initiatives.

You will train staff and drive stabilization across melt shop areas including EAF, ladle furnace, caster, and refractory. You will lead corrective actions, monitor parameters and implement changes, working closely with quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years’ experience working with the Melt Shop process.
• Experience with robotics, AI and machine learning in manufacturing is a plus.

We are recruiting a Melt Shop Process Engineer to work on the design and construction of a state-of-the-art steel manufacturing/recycling micro-mill utilizing robotics, AI and Machine Learning, world class CO2 emissions through efficiency and green energy – BY DESIGN with capability to integrate renewable energy and storage

Scope

New Melt Shop Design, Construction and Commissioning Support:

Define Scrap Mix and Process

Define Aloys, Fluxes, Refractories and Electrode to be used

Collaborate with OEM on the process and Equipment Design

Study sustainability initiatives

Train New Employees.

Responsible for process stabilization and improvement in all melt shop areas

Focus on Performance of:

Scrap Yard,

Electric Arc Furnace (EAF)
