Job summary

Nucor Corporation in North Carolina is seeking a Material Handler to support production in unloading raw materials, operating forklift equipment, and maintaining accurate cycle counts. You will reorder materials, resupply the Melt Shop areas (EAF, LMF, Caster, Refractory) and keep the work areas clean and safe.

Strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be proficient with Word, Excel, and Outlook, with a willingness to work

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook is required.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and shift rotations.

Responsibilities

Unload raw materials using forklift and Sky Trak.
Perform daily cycle counts and order raw materials and supplies.
Re-supply stocks at the EAF, LMF, Caster and Refractory areas.
Maintain housekeeping in Melt Shop areas.
Adhere to safety policies and housekeeping standards at all times.
