Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) in Morgantown, PA, is seeking a full-time On-Site role to operate and maintain furnaces. The position involves loading material, pumping down the furnace, and controlling melting and casting processes.

Candidates should understand vacuum/plasma technologies and read gauges and meters. Relocation is authorized. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience, and the ability to work any schedule, with forklift/crane experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent is required; Trade school or additional training preferred
• 3 years working experience in a relevant environment preferred
• Must be mechanically inclined and possess basic math skills
• Must be able to work any schedule, holidays and weekends
• Forklift, crane-operating experience highly preferred
• Must be able to wear a respirator
• Ability to work in confined spaces

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain furnaces.
• Interpret and respond to the needs of the equipment.
• Perform skilled maintenance, set-up and troubleshooting functions as required.
• Follow standard manufacturing and operating procedures.
• Set up and operate the furnace for melting to include: Loading material; Pumping down furnace; Setting torch patterns.
• Melting and casting; Unloading ingots; Maintain operating records and logs.
