Job summary

Meijer in Lansing, MI is seeking a warehouse associate to support distribution center operations. You will ensure order and inventory accuracy, work with drivers and unloaders, and maintain quality and temperature standards for Fresh and Frozen foods throughout receiving, storage, and shipment.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure order and inventory accuracy via established processes.
• Work with truck drivers and unloaders during receiving and shipping for Fresh and Frozen foods.
• Maintain quality and temperature standards during transfer and storage.
• Follow inventory control practices to meet Meijer standards.
• Accurately complete receiving, order, and shipping processes.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the building.
• Practice 200% safety accountability.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsible for complete product integrity during its stay at the distribution center, from the receiving process, through movement and storage within the warehouse, to final store shipment. Ensures that all all products appropriately handled, using knowledge of quality and temperature standards.

Starting Pay is $ 19.75 with a 1-dollar premium and a nighttime premium after 5pm .

What You’ll Be Doing

• Ensures order & inventory accuracy via established processes.
• Works with truck drivers and unloaders while performing receiving and shipping processes for Fresh and Frozen foods.
• Ensures quality and temperature standards for all products are maintained during a safe transfer and storage process.
• Follows established inventory control practices to ensure all Meijer standards are met.
• Accurately completes receiving-order-shipping processes.
• Ensures building sanitation standards are consistently maintained.
• Practices 200% safety accountability.
• Other duties as assigned.
