Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking candidates for the General Merchandise Distribution Team at our distribution center. You will ensure order and inventory accuracy, support receiving/shipping for Fresh and Frozen foods, and maintain quality and temperature standards during transfers and storage.

The role requires strong communication and teamwork, with a focus on attendance and safety. Training and development programs are available for advancement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Intermediate computer/technology skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior warehouse experience helpful.
• Good listening and communication skills.
• Strong attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Ensure order and inventory accuracy via established processes.
• Receive and ship goods with truck drivers and unloaders for Fresh and Frozen foods.
• Maintain quality and temperature standards during transfer and storage.
• Follow inventory control practices to meet Meijer standards.
• Complete receiving-order-shipping processes accurately.
• Maintain building sanitation standards consistently.
• Demonstrate 200% safety accountability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsible for complete product integrity during its stay at the distribution center, from the receiving process, through movement and storage within the warehouse, to final store shipment.
