Job summary

EMD Electronics seeks a seasoned Project Manager for Megasys to oversee gas and chemical systems construction in semiconductor facilities in Santa Clara, CA. You will lead a cross-functional team, manage budgeting, scheduling, safety and quality, and ensure on-time delivery within scope.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and a hands-on approach to coaching, with travel ~10% and a commitment to safe operations and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemical Science, Construction Management, or related field with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager in facilities, construction, manufacturing, chemicals, or the semiconductor industry, with a focus on gas and chemical systems.
• Alternative: High School Diploma or GED with 10+ years of relevant work experience; 5+ years PM in facilities, construction, manufacturing, chemicals, or the semiconductor industry; demonstrated leadership.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage construction and demolition of gas and chemical systems for the semiconductor facility within timelines and budget.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to meet milestones including start up and commissioning.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and budgets; monitor progress.
• Manage project risks and issues; implement mitigation strategies for successful delivery.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards throughout construction.
• Communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders and senior management.
• Lead and motivate project teams to achieve objectives and deliver high-quality results.
