Meetings and Events Specialist

The Annie E. Casey Foundation is dedicated to building a brighter future for millions of children, older youth and young adults by improving their educational, economic, social and health outcomes. At Casey you will find a dynamic environment with staff of diverse backgrounds and perspectives who share a deep commitment to advancing the Foundation’s mission. This position is not a hybrid position and will be in the Baltimore offices four to five days a week.

The Foundation is seeking a meetings and events specialist primarily responsible for planning and implementation of meetings held in-person, in the Foundation’s Baltimore offices. The planner will provide technical and on-site logistical support for events as needed. Minimal travel may be required. This position reports to the Operations Manager.

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least five years of experience in meeting and event planning or hospitality.
  • Strong technical skills with ability to learn audiovisual and event hardware/software.
  • Experience using event management software (e.g., CVENT preferred), Zoomand other web conferencing tools.
  • Strong project management and multitasking skills.
  • Experience managing vendors, contracts, venues, billing, etc.
