Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomechanics, or another relevant STEM field.
• Strong ability to read, understand, and synthesize scientific and engineering literature.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Comfortable working with data and basic quantitative analysis.
• Able to take an open-ended research question, identify credible sources, and develop a clear answer.
• Organized, resourceful, and comfortable working independently.
• Interest in medical devices, healthcare, startups, and technology commercialization.
• Experience with literature reviews, academic research, scientific writing, or grant writing is a plus.
• Familiarity with biomechanics, orthopedics, or medical devices is a plus.
• Experience with PowerPoint and Excel is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews across orthopedics, biomechanics, sensing, and related technologies
• Read and synthesize peer-reviewed research to answer technical and clinical questions
• Support technical and scientific writing for SBIR and other non-dilutive grant applications
• Research competitors, technologies, clinical workflows, and adjacent markets
• Help develop technical content for investor presentations, industry partnerships, and other company materials
• Analyze and communicate market, clinical, and technical data
• Support preparation for surgeon interviews, conferences, fundraising, and business-development meetings
