Job summary

Boston Scientific in Maple Grove, MN is seeking an R&D Engineering Intern to join the Interventional Cardiology and Vascular Therapies team. You will help design, develop, and integrate new medical device technologies as part of a cross‑functional group.

This on-site internship offers end-to-end exposure to the product development cycle, including design, testing, and documentation. Relocation and housing assistance may be available for eligible candidates; graduates between Fall 2027 and Spring

Qualifications

• Must graduate between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Reliable transportation to Maple Grove, MN location.
• Experience collaborating on an engineering project in school or professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and Testing: assist in design and development of medical devices, conduct feasibility studies, develop prototypes, and perform testing and validation.
• Problem-Solving and Compliance: support investigations into failure modes, perform root cause analyses, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with project management, process development, quality, marketing, manufacturing, and regulatory affairs.
• Documentation and Reporting: prepare engineering documentation, design history files, and regulatory submissions; present updates to engineers and managers.
