Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking a Manufacturing and Process Technician with Medical Device Experience to support our new products at our Carlsbad facility. You will work on pilot and production lines, perform manufacturing setups, and provide floor support to manufacturing teams.

The role requires at least 2 years as a technician in a regulated medical device environment, cleanroom capability, and familiarity with GMP, GDP, and lab practices.

Qualifications

  • Medical device experience in a regulated environment.
  • Able to work in a cleanroom.
  • Experience with Medical Device products, preferably Catheters.
  • Familiar with GMP, GDP, and laboratory practices.
  • High school diploma or vocational/technical certification required.
  • AS degree in Engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support Design Transfer Phase activities, including Process Development and Process Improvement.
  • Support R&D Pilot/Production Line and Engineering by monitoring and adjusting processes to improve throughput.
  • Provide technical support to engineers on various technical tasks and perform assembly and failure analysis using laboratory microscopes.
  • Perform experiments to increase yields and machine reliability; conduct inspections and various tests.
  • Train assemblers and other staff; initiate purchase orders and document changes.
