Zusammenfassung

Stryker's Medical Division is seeking an Intellectual Property Manager to manage the full patent lifecycle and collaborate with R&D across global sites. You will coordinate invention intake, patentability assessments, filing, prosecution support, and maintenance, while shaping portfolio strategy and budgets.

This hybrid role based in Cary, Illinois, offers onsite 2–3 days per week with remote options to fit business needs. Strong IP management experience and USPTO familiarity are required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of IP/patent management experience.
• Experience in patent portfolio management, disclosures, searches, prior-art analysis.
• Experience collaborating with R&D, patent counsel, or external partners.
• Experience managing multiple IP matters and portfolios.

Aufgaben

• Manage full patent lifecycle including intake, assessments, application development, prosecution support, and maintenance.
• Lead invention review boards and guide filing decisions with R&D and counsel.
• Develop patent portfolio strategies and manage related IP budgets.
• Coordinate with outside counsel for US and international filings and actions.
• Conduct patentability, prior-art, state-of-the-art analyses to support strategy.
• Evaluate invention commercialization plans and international filing decisions.
• Coordinate IP risk assessments including FTO analyses for new product launches.
• Improve IP processes, systems, and portfolio metrics for leadership insights.
