Overture Life is seeking an Instrument Mechanical Engineer to design benchtop systems for automated embryology labs, starting with DaVitri. You will own mechanical subsystems from concept through prototype and transfer to manufacturing, working with embryologists, electrical and software engineers to create reliable instruments used in clinics worldwide.

Role emphasizes hands-on prototyping, testing, and rigorous design documentation, with exposure to microfluidics, robotics, and imaging

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in mechanical design, preferably for medical devices or complex systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software and engineering analysis tools.
• Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems and prototyping.
• Knowledge of FDA/ISO 13485 regulatory requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Design electromechanical subsystems for benchtop instruments, including motion stages and thermal control.
• Develop interfaces with disposable consumables and ensure repeatable loading.
• Perform tolerance stack-ups and thermal/fluid analyses for reliability.
• Prototype, test, and support verification and field testing at clinics.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, and regulatory teams and document designs.
