Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Capital Equipment Specialist to support the Chicago, IL territory for JJVS Capital Products. The role focuses on selling Phaco, LCS, Femto, Excimer and Aberrometer technologies, with extensive time in the OR collaborating with ophthalmologists to improve outcomes.

The position requires a university degree and 3+ years medical device sales experience, including 2+ years in capital equipment sales. Strong product knowledge and customer engagement are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 3 years medical device sales experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Capital equipment sales experience.
• Ophthalmic surgery selling experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent JJVS Capital Products to customers within a designated geographical area, promoting Phaco, LCS, Femto, Excimer and Aberrometer technologies.
• Achieve assigned sales goals through consultative selling and execution of US marketing plans.
• Provide technical product knowledge and in-service support to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with local JJVS sales team and other specialists to enhance productivity and build key relationships.
• Co-sell with other JJVS personnel to strengthen customer value.
• Spend substantial time in the OR (~75%) working with ophthalmologists on surgical technique and outcomes.
• Maintain CRM records (EyeForce) with all leads and accounts.
• Facilitate Service Agreements and achieve sales quotas for Equipment and Procedures.
