Job summary

Knowles Precision Devices seeks a Senior Application Engineer in Itasca, IL to bridge customers, product management, engineering and manufacturing. You will translate customer requirements into manufacturable MedTech solutions and support growth in our MedTech business.

This high-visibility role engages with leading medical device OEMs and cross-functional teams, requiring strong technical and communication skills and the ability to interpret drawings to deliver reliable, innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with standard business and engineering software tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer specifications, drawings, and samples.
• Determine technical and commercial requirements for customer applications.
• Develop custom engineering solutions in partnership with R&D and AME Engineering teams.
• Review application feasibility and ensure compliance with customer and industry requirements.
• Support technical bid reviews for complex opportunities.
