Job summary

Medline Industries is seeking an experienced product design engineer to research, design, and prototype new medical devices. You will lead cross-functional teams, create CAD models and technical drawings, and validate designs with domestic and international manufacturers.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical/biomedical/electrical/software engineering, plus hands-on experience with SolidWorks and prototype fabrication. Travel up to 10% may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering or software engineering.
• At least 4 years of experience in product design.
• Experience with SolidWorks/3D modeling software and prototype fabrication.
• Experience with medical device requirements (Class I-II) and design controls.

Responsibilities

• Create new product designs, generate prototypes, and produce technical drawings/specifications.
• Utilize CAD to develop models, PCB layouts, or software architectures.
• Collaborate with product divisions to identify user needs and design requirements.
• Lead multi-disciplinary product development teams to research and develop new products.
• Review existing products and propose improvements based on feedback and risk analyses.
