Job summary

Knowles Corporation is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to act as the technical bridge between customers, product management, engineering, and manufacturing. You will translate customer requirements into manufacturable solutions to grow Knowles MedTech offerings.

You will partner with customers, sales, product line management, R&D, AME, quality, and operations to develop technical solutions, prepare quotations, and support commercialization of new products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering/manufacturing engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with standard business and engineering software tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer specifications, drawings, and samples to determine requirements.
• Develop technical and commercial requirements for customer applications with R&D/AME teams.
• Create custom engineering solutions and review feasibility to ensure compliance.
• Prepare accurate quotations and develop cost models for equipment.
• Support negotiations based on market information and ensure timely quotations.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams throughout the sales cycle.
• Engage in customer meetings, product demonstrations, and technical presentations.
• Assist with customer training and technical support activities.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, sales reps, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, purchasing, and manufacturing to meet customer needs.
