Job summary

Strategis Consulting seeks a Unit Clerk to support nursing and clinical staff in a fast-paced hospital setting in Georgia. Under the direction of the RN on duty and the Director of Nursing, you will handle general secretarial, receptionist, and clerical duties, and communicate with medical staff and outside agencies while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Education level equivalent to a high school diploma.
• Management skills with experience in planning, organizing, implementing, facilitating, interviewing, counseling, and verbal and written communications.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare charts for patients including surgical checklists, nursing problem lists, and physician orders.
• Transcribe physicians' orders accurately and timely.
• Answer telephone and relay messages to appropriate staff.
• Greet patients and visitors; communicate reports and new orders to team members.
• Maintain the Nurses' Station and ensure charts and supplies are organized.
• Assist with room assignments and secure needed services as directed by the Nurse Manager.
