Job summary

Cushing Terrell is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern in Missoula, MT, to support our Electrical Engineering team on real client projects. This in-person internship builds a foundation in electrical engineering principles while contributing to low-voltage and medium-voltage distribution designs.

You will develop electrical design documentation with Revit and AutoCAD, participate in site visits, and complete tailored training on lighting, building codes, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of an electrical engineering undergraduate program completed.
• Basic knowledge of Revit or AutoCAD.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Bluebeam.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to learn and adapt.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Support the design of electrical systems including low- and medium-voltage distribution.
• Build Revit and AutoCAD skills through hands-on design work.
• Learn and apply building codes and safety standards to projects.
• Complete tailored training on electrical systems design, lighting, and emerging technologies.
• Coordinate with engineering teams across disciplines on active projects.
• Attend site visits with project leads when opportunities arise.
