Job summary

VIP Truck Center, LLC in Livonia, Michigan is seeking a full-time Medium and Heavy Duty Truck Technician to perform estimates and repairs on Ford Super Duty and Medium Duty Trucks. The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing both gasoline and diesel engine trucks, as well as providing preventative maintenance.

Qualified candidates must have ASE and State Certifications, knowledge of Ford trucks, and possess their own tools. The position offers a chance to service a variety of trucks and be part of a skilled team.

Medium and Heavy Duty Truck Technician/Journeyman

• Full‑time

• VIP Truck Center stocks new and used Ford and Volvo commercial trucks, parts, and accessories. We service all makes of trucks. Our Sales Department offers new and used trucks, financing programs customized to fit customer needs, and trade‑ins. Our Parts Department is stocked with genuine Ford and Volvo truck parts. Our Service Department features state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic and repair equipment. Our skilled factory‑trained and certified technicians deliver efficient, quality truck service.

• We are looking for an organized self‑starter to perform estimates and repairs for Ford Super Duty and Medium Duty Trucks. Candidate must have good problem‑solving and analytical skills to effectively diagnose and repair gasoline and diesel engine trucks as well as perform inspections and provide preventative maintenance to our customers.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Ability to perform estimates and repairs on Ford Super Duty and Medium Duty Trucks. This includes Ford gas, Ford Diesel and Cummins engines as well as, Ford manual and automatic and Allison transmissions.
• Experience with suspensions, brakes, electrical, HVAC and preventative maintenance.
• Ability to perform advanced diagnostics.
• Must be computer literate and have Ford software competency.
• ASE and State Certifications.
• Volvo heavy truck experience a plus.
• Must have own tools.
