Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Principal Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry for its South San Francisco site. You will design, synthesize, and purify novel compounds for potential clinical development, including work within Amgen’s Induced Proximity Platform (IPP) and PROTAC approaches.

You will lead a team, mentor researchers, and contribute to publications and patents while collaborating across disciplines to advance drug discovery programs.

Qualifications

• PhD with 2+ years of scientific experience or
• MS with 5+ years of scientific experience or
• BS with 7+ years of scientific experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute state-of-the-art laboratory research for new compounds.
• Review and interpret data; communicate results and updates to the team.
• Mentor research staff and contribute to publications and patents.
