Job summary

The Springs at Happy Valley, part of Springs Living, LLC, is seeking a Medication Technician to join our caring team. Swing or overnight shifts are available.

You will administer or assist with resident medications and treatments, measure vital signs, and coordinate with physicians, home health, hospice, and pharmacy services to support safe, respectful care and timely interventions. We prize teamwork and mentorship, inviting staff to share knowledge and best practices to elevate the whole care

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Previous experience with Medication Administration required.
• Previous experience assisting with ADL's.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to pass criminal background and pre-employment drug test.
• Genuine love for seniors and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Administers or assists residents in self-administering medications and treatments.
• Measures vital signs and weight; and performs other health services tasks.
• Communicates with physicians, implements physician orders, and reports and documents pertinent information.
• Works closely with home health, hospice, and pharmacy services.
• Diligently processes paperwork and administers meds/treatments.
• Be able to work as a team throughout department.

We have an opening for a swing or overnight Medication Technician.

Medication Technicians serve as the vital link between nursing staff, residents, and families. Their observations and insights contribute to thoughtful care planning and timely interventions, directly impacting residents' quality of life.

In addition to clinical skills, we need Medication Technicians who can lead by example by mentoring newer staff and fostering a culture of teamwork. They serve as mentors in sharing knowledge and best practices to elevate the entire care team. This collaborative spirit ensures everyone works seamlessly to meet residents' needs, improve outcomes, and maintain a supportive work environment.

Role of the Medication Technician:

Schedules Available:

• Day Shift 6:00AM -2:30PM
  • Friday through Sunday
  • Friday through Saturday
• Swing (Evening) Shift 2:00PM - 10:30PM
  • Friday through Monday
• Overnight (NOC) Shift - 10:00PM - 6:30AM
  • Friday through Saturday
