As a Medication Technician, you will assist residents with medications under nurse supervision, document administration, and support daily living activities

Qualifications

• High school graduate, student or equivalent.
• Completion of required RCFE training as Medication Technician.
• Current First Aid & CPR certification.
• At least one year of experience as a caregiver in a facility or in-home caregiving.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Legally Authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• The Medication Aide accepts, accounts and documents all new medications brought into the facility. Safely prepares and aides with resident self-administration of medications.
• Guides the resident in maintaining his/her schedule of daily activities, while maintaining the resident’s sense of independence.
• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
• Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
