Job summary

The Ridge at Westlake Village is a premier senior living community in California. The Medication Technician will supervise and assist with medication administration, provide direct personal care, and support residents in activities while aligning with our mission and values.

Responsibilities include coordinating with pharmacies and physicians, maintaining accurate records, and promoting a safe environment. This role emphasizes teamwork, elderly care, and adherence to policy and health standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Experience assisting with medication is preferred.
• Ability to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Strong written and verbal communication with staff, physicians, residents, and families.
• Must pass a criminal background check and health screening.
• Vaccination and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with the resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
