Job summary

ChenMed in New York is seeking a Medication Technician to support the medication room, assist with inventory, and deliver medications under supervision. You will handle refills, stock drugs, and process insurance information for billing.

The role involves direct patient interaction in a fast-paced clinical environment. You will work with dispensing providers and the pharmacy team to ensure accurate labeling and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ChenMed and/ or Jencare Neighborhood Medical Centers policies and procedures.
• Ability to multi task and operate phones, PC and IT systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy of reports and data.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparing and delivering medications under direct supervision of dispensing provider per prescription.
• Prepares medications for provider dispensing as prescribed.
• Processes refills daily.
• Orders pharmaceuticals and receive/stock drugs.
• Updates inventory and completes pharmacy reports including expired meds.
• Collects patient information for prescription and billing.
