Job summary

Frontier Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician for the Grand Montecito Memory Care community in Las Vegas, NV. The role involves safely administering medications, documenting accurately in medication records and resident charts, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

The position supports multiple shifts (6AM-2PM, 2PM-10PM) with full-time or part-time options and requires a respectful, caregiving approach to residents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English required.
• In-services attendance monthly is expected.
• Experience with elderly population is preferred but training is available.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments per schedule and protocol.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and staff information.
• Notify care coordinators of changes in residents’ condition.
• Assist with monthly medication records and restocking of med room/equipment.
• Demonstrate proper techniques with mobility and safety devices as directed.
• Take accurate vital signs and weights.
• Fill in for receptionist or caregiver when needed.
• Support residents’ care needs and assist with lifting up to 40 pounds.

Job Details: Job Location: Grand Montecito - Las Vegas, NV 89149, Salary Range: $17.00 - $18.00 Hourly, Job Category: Health Services, Frontier Senior Living is seeking an outstanding Medication Technician for the Grand Montecito Memory Care community located in Las Vegas, NV.

We currently have the following Shifts and Schedules available for this position:

• Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available!
• Day Shift: 6AM-2PM
• Swing/Evening Shift: 2PM-10PM

The Medication Technician is responsible for all duties related to safely administering medications and treatments to the residents. This position requires legible, accurate documentation on the medication record and in the resident chart. The Medication Technician position requires a responsible demeanor, caring nature and ability to contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Administers the medications and treatments, according to the scheduled times, following the medication administration protocol
• Maintains confidentiality of resident and fellow employee’s information
• Notifies Resident Care Coordinator /Executive Director/RN of resident changes of condition
• Assists with monthly medication records as needed
• Maintains the cleanliness, organization, and restocking of the Med room and Med cart
• Has knowledge of, and can demonstrate proper technique, or can learn how to assist with: a gait belt, sit to stand lift, transfer board, oxygen equipment, C-Pap, Nebulizer, catheter, specimen, transfer pole, trapeze, wheelchair, scale, and other equipment as directed by the Resident Care Coordinator /RN
• Capable of taking accurate vital signs and weights
• Fill-in for the receptionist as directed by Executive Director/Resident Care Coordinator
• Fill in for a caregiver when needed
• Capable of assisting in care needs of residents, which might include lifting requirements up to 40 pounds
• Work as manager on duty as directed by Executive Director/ Resident Care Coordinator
• Keep current on First Aid/CPR and Medication Administration skills
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or other management staff
