Now Hiring for PRN Overnight Med Tech!

Rate of Pay: Starting at $16.50 depending on experience

Shift Type: PRN position available, 7:00PM - 7:00AM shifts, days will vary, weekend availability

Summary:

We are seeking a Medication Technician who embodies our core values of Character, Compassion, Commitment, Communication, and Consistency by providing the highest standard of care and first-class customer service.

As a Med Tech, you will provide excellent hands-on care to residents, deliver medications timely, observe, document, and report resident status, and ensure their health, comfort, and safety in accordance with company procedures and standards. You will also perform various other resident-focused tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Promoting SRIM's core value of the Golden Rule in interactions with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
  2. Supervising self-administration of medication for residents.
  3. Assisting with ADLs, meal service, light housekeeping, and laundry, encouraging resident independence.
  4. Interacting with residents at all care levels with empathy, kindness, and respect.
  5. Observing and reporting changes in resident health and emotional well-being.
  6. Serving and assisting residents during meals.
  7. Initiating and participating in leisure activities as per the activity calendar.
  8. Maintaining a clean, safe, environment at all times.
  9. Performing daily housekeeping duties following schedules.
  10. Supporting a dignified, caring atmosphere.
  11. Responding promptly to resident requests and inquiries.
  12. Communicating effectively in a language residents understand.
  13. Ensuring residents sign out when leaving the community.
  14. Maintaining safety and reporting hazards immediately.
  15. Practicing good body mechanics and safe habits.
  16. Assisting colleagues as needed and following emergency policies.
  17. Being an essential personnel during emergencies and inclement weather.
  18. Working as part of a team and demonstrating a positive attitude.
  19. Adhering to attendance policies and participating in training sessions.
  20. Wearing appropriate dress and maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.
  21. Training and mentoring new employees.
  22. Taking initiative and handling special projects outside regular duties.
  23. Performing housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain cleanliness.
  24. Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

Successful candidates must perform all essential duties satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations can be provided for disabilities.

Language Ability: Read/write/interpret safety rules, instructions, manuals; speak effectively with residents and staff.

Math Ability: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide using units of money, weight, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability: Follow instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables.

Computer Skills: Knowledge of word processing and electronic medical records.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; 1-2 years related experience or equivalent.

Certificates and Licenses: Valid Med-Tech certification.

Physical Demands: Must be able to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, with accommodations as needed.

Work Environment: Exposure to bloodborne pathogens; safety protocols must be followed.
