Encore at Parkside in Newark, Delaware is seeking a Medication Technician for the 3pm-11pm shift to join the care team in our assisted living community.

You will administer prescribed meds, document observations, and assist residents with daily activities, while maintaining safety and cleanliness. Weekend availability and strong interpersonal skills are essential in providing compassionate elder care.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• LLAM certification required.
• CPR/First Aid and BLS certifications current or willing to obtain.
• Experience in senior care is a plus.
• Weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications to residents per regulations and policy.
• Document medication administration and resident observations accurately.
• Assist residents with daily living activities such as dressing and mobility.
• Monitor residents for changes in health and report concerns promptly.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

Encore at Parkside is currently hiring a medication technician 3pm-11pm to join our dedicated care team in our assisted living community located in Newark, Delaware. $18-28 hr.

Key Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications to residents in accordance with state regulations and facility policy
• Accurately document medication administration and resident observations
• Assist residents with daily living activities such as dressing, hygiene, and mobility
• Monitor residents for changes in physical or mental health and promptly report concerns
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of resident areas

Qualifications/Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an LLAM certification
• Experience in senior care or long-term care – a plus!
• Current CPR/First Aid and BLS certifications (or willing to obtain upon hire)
• Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and a heart for elder care
• Must be able to work weekends
