Job summary

Encore Parkside is currently hiring a medication technician to join our dedicated care team at our assisted living community in Newark, Delaware. This role supports residents with medications and daily living needs, working from 3pm to 11pm.

Compensation ranges from $18 to $28 per hour. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, an LLAM certification, CPR/First Aid and BLS, and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• LLAM certification required.
• Experience in senior or long-term care is a plus.
• Current CPR and First Aid and BLS certifications or willing to obtain upon hire.
• Strong interpersonal skills and reliability.
• Weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications per policy and state rules.
• Document medication administration and resident observations accurately.
• Assist residents with daily living activities.

Encore at Parkside is currently hiring a medication technician 3pm-11pm to join our dedicated care team in our assisted living community located in Newark, Delaware. $18-28 hr.

This role is vital to ensuring our residents receive quality care with dignity, compassion, and respect.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administers prescribed medications to residents in accordance with state regulations and facility policy
• Accurately document medication administration and resident observations
• Assist residents with daily living activities such as dressing, hygiene, and mobility
• Monitor residents for changes in physical or mental health and promptly report concerns
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of resident areas

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an LLAM certification
• Experience in senior care or long-term care - a plus!
• Current CPR/First Aid and BLS certifications (or willing to obtain upon hire)
• Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and a heart for elder care
• Must be able to work weekends
