Job summary

Silver Birch Living Avondale is seeking a Medication Technician to support residents in our assisted living community. You will maintain records, administer medications, and ensure adherence to medication policies.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year experience in a similar role, caregiver certification, CPR/First Aid, and a food handler’s card. Strong customer service and attention to detail are essential.

• 1+ year experience as Medication Technician in an Assisted Living community.
• Arizona State Caregiver Certification.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Current food handler’s card.
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and detailed records and reports.
• Document medication administration and related activities.
• Follow all medication management policies and procedures.
• Record resident medical information and vital signs as needed.
• Monitor and document self-administration of medications by residents.
• Order and re-order medications, supplies, and equipment, partnering with pharmacies and families.
• Provide friendly, respectful customer service to residents, families, and team members.

• One (1) or more years of experience as a Medication Technician in an Assisted Living community
• Arizona State Caregiver Certification through Direct Care
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• A current food handler’s card
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
