Job summary

Oakmont Management Group in Oakland, CA is seeking a part-time Medication Technician with a flexible schedule. You will prepare and distribute medications to residents and coordinate with the resident, pharmacy, and physician to ensure accurate dosing and timely deliveries.

The role requires a minimum of one year of experience in RCFE environments, basic MS Office skills, and a commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and compassionate elder care.

Qualifications

• One year of experience assisting with medication at RCFE.
• Based on state regulation, completion of training/certification may be required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact with staff, supervisors, physicians, residents and families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• Team members may be required to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and wear face coverings and PPE to prevent the spread of COVID‑19 or other communicable diseases.
