Job summary

Senior Solutions Management Group is seeking a Medication Tech for on-site work in Corpus Christi, TX. The role focuses on supervising resident self-administration of medications under RN Delegator guidance and regulatory guidelines, with multiple daily responsibilities in an Assisted Living environment.

Responsibilities include medication prep, documentation, emergency response, and coordination with Wellness Director and other staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide, Private Caregiver certification desirable.
• Must be trainable and available for onsite training, medication training by RN Delegator.
• Flexible with scheduling and have transportation to and from work for scheduled shifts.
• Position also requires resident care when not assisting with medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administered medication for the Assisted Living Department in compliance with Federal & State regulations and SSMG guidelines as directed by the Wellness Director.
• Prepare medications, ensure proper dosages and administration times, document medication given, and monitor patients for reactions.
• Assist with other patient care tasks and maintain medication inventory.
• Report any change in resident’s health and provide proper documentation to the Wellness Director.
• Respond quickly to emergencies.
• Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members.
• Provide educational meetings for residents and staff as requested by Supervisor.
• Understand role in the Safety & Disaster Plan.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents’ information.
• Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• Strive to maintain a safe working environment through prevention of accidents and preservation of equipment.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and co-workers.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures of SSMG.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
