Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Hershey, PA is hiring a Medication Aide to assist with prescribed medications, resident care, and daily activities. You will follow policies, participate in trainings, and maintain accurate medication records in EMAR/MAR while communicating with the nursing team.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, completion of Medication Aide Course, and current CNA and Med Tech licenses.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed the Medication Aide Course.
• Must possess both current CNA and Med Tech license in good standing
• Must satisfactorily pass 2 medication observations annually
• Must satisfactorily pass all medication cart audits
• Must attend 4 additional hours of medication administration education annually
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel

Responsibilities

• Assists with administration of prescribed medications within scope.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living
• Reports incidents involving residents to appropriate individuals
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies
• Assists in planning activity programs for residents
• Maintains confidentiality of resident information
• Assists residents to and from dining/activities
• Moves and checks residents during meals and activities
• Relays medication-related information to HCD and documents in Daily Log
• Re-orders medications and communicates with residents/families as needed
• Documents medication administration on EMAR/MAR and reports exceptions
• Other duties as assigned
