Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a PRN Medication Room Assistant at Vienna Correctional Center in Vienna, Illinois. The role is per diem and requires a high school diploma or GED, with CPR/BLS certification. You will assist with medication room records, inventory, and secure handling of medications during day shifts.

You will support site administration with deliveries and audits, and logs for outgoing medications. Pay is $19.80/hour plus a $4/hour PRN differential.

Qualifications

• Be a high school graduate or hold a GED.
• Experience in correctional health care or hospital pharmacy preferred.
• History of being well organized, communicates effectively and is detail oriented.
• Knowledge of correctional healthcare principles and laws is preferred.
• Certified in CPR/BLS and able to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with organization and maintenance of medication room records.
• Assist with inventory and audit procedures.
• Maintain security of medications and supplies under control.
• Process supply requests promptly and cooperatively.
• Confirm ordered medications are received and log outgoing meds.
• Assist with delivery of medications as directed by site administration.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the organization and maintenance of medication room records
• Assist with the maintenance of medication room inventory and audit procedures
• Maintain the security of all medications and supplies under their control or supervision
• Processes supply requests in a prompt, cooperative and efficient manner
• Confirms ordered medications are received
• Logs outgoing medications
• Assists with the delivery of medications as determined by site administration

Qualifications

• Be a high school graduate or hold a GED
• 1 year correctional health care or hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• History of being well organized, communication effectively and detail oriented
• Knowledge of correctional healthcare principles and practices preferred; along with knowledge of applicable state and federal laws
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
