Job summary

Centurion is seeking a full-time Medication Room Assistant to join our team at Vienna Correctional Center in Vienna, Illinois. The role reports to the Director of Nursing and focuses on organizing medication room records, inventory control, and secure handling of medications.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CPR/BLS certification, and 1 year of correctional health care or hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• 1 year correctional health care or hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• History of being well organized with strong communication and detail orientation.
• Knowledge of correctional healthcare principles and applicable laws is a plus.
• Must be CPR/BLS certified and able to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with organization and maintenance of medication room records.
• Assist with maintenance of medication room inventory and audit procedures.
• Maintain security of all medications and supplies under supervision.
• Process supply requests promptly and cooperatively.
• Confirm/log received and outgoing medications; assist with delivery as directed.

We are currently seeking a full-time Medication Room Assistant to join our team at Vienna Correctional Center located in Vienna, Illinois.

The Medication Room Assistant works under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. This person will:

• Assist with the organization and maintenance of medication room records
• Assist with the maintenance of medication room inventory and audit procedures
• Maintain the security of all medications and supplies under their control or supervision
• Processes supply requests in a prompt, cooperative and efficient manner
• Confirms ordered medications are received
• Logs outgoing medications
• Assists with the delivery of medications as determined by site administration

Qualifications:

• Be a high school graduate or hold a GED
• 1 year correctional health care or hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• History of being well organized, communication effectively and detail oriented
• Knowledge of correctional healthcare principles and practices preferred; along with knowledge of applicable state and federal laws
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Available Shift: Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.
