Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a PRN Medication Room Assistant for Vienna Correctional Center in Vienna, Illinois. The role reports to the Director of Nursing and supports safe medication handling within a correctional setting.

The position emphasizes organization, accuracy, and adherence to correctional healthcare standards. CPR/BLS certification and the ability to obtain security clearance are required; prior correctional or hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the organization and maintenance of medication room records.
• Assist with the maintenance of medication room inventory and audit procedures.
• Maintain the security of all medications and supplies under control or supervision.
• Process supply requests in a prompt, cooperative and efficient manner.
• Log outgoing medications.
• Assist with the delivery of medications as determined by site administration.
