Job summary

CRI-Help INC seeks a Lead Medication Nurse to oversee Medication Nurses and Coordinators, ensuring safe self-administration of medications for residential clients. You will coordinate with Nursing leadership and other departments to maintain high clinical standards.

Requirements include CA RN license (or LVN with qualifier), CPR/BLS, and strong experience in substance use treatment. This is a full-time, in-person role across Los Angeles County with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have advanced understanding of substance use and psychological disorders.
• Must understand medication protocols and related care.
• Must be able to conduct CIWA and COWS assessments.
• Must be able to record information accurately and prepare reports.
• Must be able to manage medications and work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care through pre-admission to discharge.
• Train and oversee Medication Nurses and Coordinators.
• Transcribe prescribing clinician orders into charts.
• Observe and document patients’ self-administration of meds.
• Maintain documentation in the EHR per standards.
• Assess medication reactions and adherence.
• Review medication logs for errors and provide supervision.
