Job summary

Altior Healthcare in Milton, NH is seeking a licensed nurse to join our clinical team. The role focuses on medication management, patient care, and adherence to infection control and safety protocols within a residential treatment setting.

The position requires at least two years of nursing experience, a medical program completion with relevant certification, and current First Aid/CPR and Water Safety credentials.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years nursing experience in evaluating and/or treating patients.
• Completion of a medical program with degree and/or certification in medication nursing.
• Current First Aid, CPR and Water Safety Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Medication management procedures; collaborate with doctors in all aspects of medication management.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment in accordance with procedures and regulations.
• Document patient care by charting in client files and medical folders.
• Protect patients and staff by adhering to infection-control policies and medication handling regulations.
• Maintain nursing supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
• Attend Clinical Committee meetings.
• Conduct health education or psycho-educational groups as directed.
• Support Directors to meet facility patient needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Shall be responsible for medication management procedures, collaborate with and support Doctor in all aspects of medication management.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; calling for assistance from health care support personnel.
• Documents patient care services by charting in client files and medical folder.
• Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection‑control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
• Maintains nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Shall attend Clinical Committee meetings.
• Shall conduct health education and/or psycho‑educational groups as directed.
• Shall perform such additional functions as specifically requested by Directors to meet special facility patient needs, as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Completion of a medical program with degree and/or certification in medication nursing
• Current First Aid, CPR and Water Safety Certificate

Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience in evaluating and/or treating patients. Preferred experience in working with patients in a psychiatric, mental health, or substance abuse treatment setting.

Salary Range

$25—$30 USD
