Job summary

Altior Healthcare in Idaho is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to provide individual, group, and family therapy to adolescents and young adults within a structured treatment episode. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical team and uphold Idaho licensing standards.

Qualifications include a master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work or related field and an active LCSW/LPC/LMFT license, plus 2 years of clinical experience; pre-licensed candidates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Active, unrestricted license as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred, especially with mental health or substance use disorders.
• Experience with CBT, DBT, and/or EMDR preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and clinical staff.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with Idaho licensing regulations.
• Participate in treatment team meetings to review progress and adjust plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and clinical support when necessary.
• Deliver psychoeducation to clients and families to support engagement.
• Ensure services align with best practices and Idaho state requirements.

Job Summary

The Mental Health Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy to adolescents and/or young adults experiencing mental health and behavioral health challenges. This role collaborates with a multidisciplinary clinical team to support patients throughout a structured treatment episode and into successful aftercare.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based interventions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, case managers, and clinical staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with Idaho licensing regulations and ethical standards.
• Participate in treatment team meetings to review client progress and adjust care plans as needed.
• Provide crisis intervention and clinical support when necessary.
• Deliver psychoeducation to clients and families to support engagement in treatment.
• Ensure all services align with best practices and Idaho state requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Active, unrestricted license as one of the following:

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred, particularly with mental health and/or substance use disorders.

• Experience with evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, and/or EMDR preferred.

• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

• If pre-licensed:

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Eligible for licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
  • Actively pursuing clinical licensure hours.

Compensation: 70,000 to 80,000 with sign on bonus and relocation assistance!

$70,000—$95,000 USD
