Job summary

Behavioral Health Group (BHG) is seeking a Medication Nurse to administer methadone and support patient care in a busy clinic. You will ensure meds are administered as prescribed and maintain accurate dosing records under the supervision of the Medical Director or Clinic Physician.

Responsibilities include screening patients, coordinating with counselors, managing medication inventories, and staying compliant with DEA procedures and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed nursing license (LPN/LVN or RN) in the state of employment.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Accurate data entry skills and basic computing knowledge.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of dosing equipment, centrifuge, test strips, breathalyzers and other medical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Administer methadone as prescribed.
• Follow physician orders and assess patient appropriateness for dosing.
• Maintain accurate patient dosing records and inventory reconciliation.
• Receive medication shipments per DEA and company procedures.
• Report medication discrepancies to Nursing Supervisor and Program Director.
• Participate in weekly treatment team meetings and communicate with nursing staff.
