Kennybrook Village in Grimes, IA is seeking a Life Services Coordinator - Caregiver to join Maggie's Place Memory Care. The role centers on maximizing each resident’s independence and delivering personal care, social activities, meals, and related tasks to support resident well-being.

Responsibilities

• Provides services to tenants as indicated on Resident Service Plans, including grooming, dressing guidance and bathing assistance.
• Reports significant tenant changes to the nurse and monitors changes in needs or health status.
• Prepares and serves meals and snacks, with cleanup, and maintains kitchen cleanliness.
• Maintains activity calendar and engages tenants in spiritual, educational, games, music and physical activities.
• Provides companionship and works effectively in a team with minimal supervision while following safety policies.

Role

We are seeking a dedicated Life Services Coordinator - Caregiver to join our Maggie's Place Memory Care team! The Life Services Coordinator is responsible for cultivating an environment that maximizes each resident’s independence. The Life Services Coordinator is responsible for delivering assistance with personal care, social and recreational activities, meals, and other tasks as needed to facilitate the continued well-being of tenants.

Responsibilities

• Provides services to tenants as assigned and as indicated on Resident Service Plans which may include grooming and dressing guidance, assistance with bathing.
• Report any significant tenant changes to the nurse.
• Monitors for changes in tenant needs, preferences, and/or health status, and reports/documents any changes according to established procedures
• Reviews the Staff 24-Hour Communication log and corresponding Tenant Service Notes on a daily basis for information about changes in tenant service needs and/or health conditions.
• Prepare and serve meals and snacks, followed by clean-up.
• Monitor food expiration dates.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Make beds and change linens.
• Laundry service.
• Housekeeping, to include, dusting and vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and common spaces.
• Take out garbage.
• Maintain activity calendar and engage tenants in activities such as spiritual, educational, games, music, and physical activities.
• Provide companionship.
• Works effectively with minimal supervision and in a team setting.
• Follows safety policies in performing care, assuring resident safety.
• Follows and upholds policies and procedures.
• Attends and participates in facility meetings and in-service training programs as assigned.
• Follows infection control guidelines.
• Observes residents’ rights including, but not limited to, privacy, dignity, etc.
