Responsibilities

• Prepare meals, supervise activities, and maintain kitchen and common areas.
• Engage tenants with social, educational, spiritual and recreational activities.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and compliance with policies.

The Life Services Coordinator - CMA is responsible for cultivating an environment that maximizes each resident’s independence. The Life Services Coordinator is responsible for delivering assistance with personal care, medications, social and recreational activities, meals, and other tasks as needed to facilitate the continued well-being of tenants. **Responsibilities:*** Provides services to tenants as assigned and as indicated on Resident Service Plans which may include grooming and dressing guidance, assistance with bathing, and medication reminders/ assistance* Report any significant tenant changes to the nurse* Monitors for changes in tenant needs, preferences, and/or health status, and reports/documents any changes according to established procedures* Reviews the Staff 24-Hour Communication log and corresponding Tenant Service Notes on a daily basis for information about changes in tenant service needs and/or health conditions* Prepare and serve meals/snacks, monitor food expiration dates and maintain kitchen cleanliness.* Complete various housekeeping duties including; dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and common spaces, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, make and change bed linens, laundry services.* Maintain activity calendar and engage tenants in activities such as spiritual, educational, games, music, and physical activities* Provide companionship* Works effectively with minimal supervision and in a team setting* Follows safety policies in performing care, assuring resident safety* Follows and upholds policies and procedures* Attends and participates in facility meetings and in-service training programs as assigned* Follows infection control guidelines* Observes residents’ rights including, but not limited to, privacy, dignity, etc.## Qualifications**Qualifications:*** Must have 1-2 years’ previous experience working with individuals with dementia, preferably in a memory care setting.* Must be at least 18 years of age, with a high school diploma or equivalent GED.* Must have valid CMA in state of which applying.Our Community is a part of a family of Retirement Communities which include:* Colonial Village, Overland Park, KS* Maggie’s Place of Colonial Village, Overland Park, KS* Westchester Village, Lenexa KS* Linden Woods Village, Gladstone, MO* Raintree Village, Lee's Summit, MO* Prairie Vista Village, Altoona, IA* Terrace Glen Village, Marion, IA* Cedar Ridge Village, West Des Moines, IA* Northridge Village, Ames, IA* Kennybrook Village, Grimes, IA We are an equal opportunity employer and will consider all applications without regard to race, marital status, sex, age, color, religion, national origin, veteran status, disability of any other characteristic protected by law.
