Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy tech training preferred.
• Must be registered as Pharmacy Technician by the Mississippi State Board of Pharmacy.
• Must possess Pharmacy Technician Registration from the Mississippi Board of Pharmacy.
• Must possess or complete ASHP Medication History-Taking Certification within 90 days of hire/assignment.
• Experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, document, and verify patient medication history on admission, transfer, or discharge.
• Work with pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to ensure accuracy and reduce adverse drug events.
• Follow Singing River Health System procedures and policies during all duties.
