Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist in the Greater Manchester Region. You will collect medication histories from patients on arrival to the Emergency Department and support admission processes.

Responsibilities include interviewing patients and families, maintaining confidential reports, and using the hospital computer system to enter and retrieve data. Strong communication with clinicians is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Understanding of medical terminology and medication-related terms is required.
• 1 year of experience as a pharmacy tech in a retail setting, or 6 months conducting medication histories or similar experience.

Responsibilities

• Gather accurate medication histories from patients arriving at the Emergency Department.
• Interview patient, family, or significant other upon arrival to assist admission.
• Maintain confidential reports and enter/retrieve data using the hospital computer system.
• Speak confidently with patients, family, doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
