Avenues Recovery Center in Richmond, VA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our inpatient detox and residential program. You will provide quality medical care to stabilize clients and support treatment goals, assist with nursing duties, and collaborate with clinical teams.

Qualifications include VA Medical Assistant licensure and a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor's preferred). Strong communication and multitasking skills are essential, with a compassionate approach to care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide quality medical care to stabilize clients and enable treatment.
• Assist with nursing shift duties (vitals, drug screens, charting and reporting).
• Collaborate with medical and clinical teams for seamless care.
• Manage, order and res-stock medical supplies as necessary.
• Schedule medical appointments and arrange post-discharge aftercare providers.
• Assist with pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations.
