Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a Medication Aide (RMA) for our new inpatient residential location in Norfolk, VA. You will support medical care, assist with nursing duties, and coordinate with clinical teams to ensure safe, smooth transitions for clients.

Requirements include Virginia RMA licensure and a high school diploma or GED (bachelor's preferred). Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, with knowledge of substance use. We offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid licensure as a medication aide (RMA) in the state.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of substance use and its bio-psychosocial consequences.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality medical care to stabilize clients.
• Assist with nursing shift duties (vitals, drug screens, charting).
• Collaborate with medical and clinical teams for seamless care coordination.
• Manage, order and res-stock all medical supplies.
• Schedule medical appointments and arrange post-discharge aftercare.
• Assist with pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations.
