Job summary

Spring Arbor Senior Living of Williamsburg is hiring Medication Aide / Med Tech to provide resident care and assist with medications in accordance with state guidelines. Join a friendly, team-oriented community in Williamsburg, VA.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current Medication Training certification required.
• Experience working with senior adults preferred.
• CNA or Nursing Assistant certification may be a plus depending on state requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or as required by the state.
• Previous experience with electronic resident documentation systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Providing resident care and assisting with medications per state guidelines.
• Assisting with bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Assisting with toileting and incontinence care.
• Helping with mobility, transfers and positioning; changing bed linens.
• Communicating with the Resident Services team to ensure continuity of care.
• Delivering compassionate and respectful resident support and participating in activities when needed.
• Providing friendly, helpful customer service to residents and families; maintaining a safe environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Medication Aide / Med Tech, you’ll provide resident care and assist with medications in accordance with state guidelines and community policies.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting residents with medications as permitted by state guidelines
• Supporting residents with bathing, dressing and grooming
• Assisting with toileting and incontinence care
• Helping with mobility, transfers and positioning
• Changing bed linens
• Communicating with the Resident Services team to ensure continuity of care
• Providing compassionate and respectful resident support
• Participating in and helping lead resident activities when needed
• Delivering friendly, helpful customer service to residents and families
• Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment

WHAT WE’R LOOKING FOR

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Current Medication Training certification required
• Experience working with senior adults strongly preferred
• CNA or Nursing Assistant certification may be a plus depending on state requirements
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or as required by the state
• Previous experience with electronic resident documentation systems is a plus
• Compassionate, dependable and team-focused
• Able to successfully complete required background screening
