Job summary

Distinctive Living seeks a dedicated Medication Aide for the Brooklyn Pointe Assisted Living & Memory Care community. This full-time role involves administering medications, supporting ADLs, and coordinating with medical professionals to ensure resident wellbeing.

The position requires at least 1 year of caregiving experience, a state HHA/CNA credential, and the ability to read doctor orders. Supervisory duties may apply as part of a team.

Qualifications

• One year of caregiving experience or similar function is required.
• State-required HHA certification or CNA license.
• Ability to read physician orders and match to medication administration records.
• Understanding of medical terminology relevant to passing medications.

Responsibilities

• Follow the resident service plans and pass medications per physician orders and MAR.
• Document completion of tasks and observed changes in condition.
• Communicate resident needs to fellow Medication Aides for consistency.
• Participate in meal service and assist with dining room duties.
• Supervise staff during shifts and ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
