Job summary

West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing, Inc. in Bronx, NY is hiring a Program Aide Medication for a full‑time, on‑site role.

The PAM provides hands‑on care and supports safe medication administration for older adults and residents with disabilities, including daily activities and escorting to appointments. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid certification, and at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
• Minimum 2 years' experience providing care and/or medication assistance to older adults or individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer or assist with self‑administration of routine medications per state regulations and policy.
• Follow medication administration rights and infection control practices.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition or safety risks.
• Respond to urgent situations per protocol and escalate as appropriate.
• Assist with eating/feeding following diet orders and safety guidelines.
• Escort residents to doctors and other appointments.
• Visit residents who are hospitalized.
• Assist residents in participating in recreational activities.
• Complete service notes, shift logs, and care documentation accurately and on time.
