Job summary

Westminster Canterbury Richmond is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide – Medication Aide to administer prescribed medications in compliance with VDSS regulations. You will assist residents with ADLs and IADLs, document care, and support overall well-being in a 3 pm – 11 pm full-time role (4 days/week, every other weekend).

Qualifications

• Administer medications as prescribed by physician and document accordingly.
• Assist residents with ADLs and maintain independence and hygiene.
• Assist with IADLs to support independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and document as prescribed.
• Assist with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, eating) and ensure hygiene.
• Assist with IADLs (meal prep, housekeeping, laundry, money management).
• Serve meals in dining room to ensure nutrition and social experience.
• Monitor vital signs and document findings for nurse follow-up.
• Adhere to ISP and report concerns to nurse/manager.
• Observe residents for mood/behavior changes and report promptly.
• Document care using medical record systems.
• Transport residents to appointments and activities.
