Job summary

Granite Rehabilitation and Wellness is seeking a Medication Aide-Certified (MA-C) to administer prescribed medications to residents under nurse supervision. The ideal candidate is energetic and clinically sound, with a passion for quality care.

The role requires active WY CNA II certification, MA-C eligibility or certification, and completion of a board-approved MA-C training program with a competency evaluation. Detail-oriented, safety-focused care is essential.

Qualifications

• Active Wyoming CNA II certification
• Must hold or be eligible for MA-C in Wyoming
• Completed MA-C training program and competency evaluation
• Meets CNA II qualifications as required by state guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and safe med administration under nurse supervision

Responsibilities

• Verifies resident identity and records drug details
• Presents and administers medications, observing ingestion
• Takes vital signs
• Documents reasons for non-administration of prescribed drugs
• Receives and prepares medications for administration
• Records and restocks medication inventories

Medication Aide-Certified (MA-C) - $3,000 Referral Bonus

Minimum Requirements:

• Meet qualifications for State CNA II certification

• Successful completion of a Board-approved Medication Aide-Certified (MA-C) training program

• Passed MA-C competency evaluation

Shift Differentials:

Evening (2p–10p): +$1.00/hr
Night (10p–6a): +$0.80/hr
Weekend (Fri 2p – Mon 6a): +$2.00/hr

Job Summary:

Granite Rehabilitation and Wellness is looking for aMedication Aide-Certified (MA-C)to administers prescribed medications to residents and maintains related medical records under supervision of Nurse.The ideal candidate will be an energetic, clinically sound professional, with a passion for providing quality care to the residents we are entrusted to care for.

Essential Functions:

• Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms or records.

• Presents medication to resident and observes ingestion or other application, or administers medication, using specified processes.

• Takes vital signs

• Documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered.

• Receive supply of ordered medications and apportion, mix, or assemble drugs for administration to resident.

• Record and restock medication inventories.

Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:

• Active certification in the state of Wyoming as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

• Must hold or be eligible for Medication Aide-Certified (MA-C) in Wyoming

• Meets qualifications for CNA II certification (as required by state guidelines)

• Successful completion of a Board-approved MA-C training program and competency evaluation

• Strong attention to detail and ability to safely administer medications under nurse supervision
